Amanda Bynes joins OnlyFans with strict warning to subscribers

Amanda Bynes recently revealed that she’ll connect with fans and share some unexpected content through her new account on OnlyFans, a platform that’s known to provide subscribers with naughty material.

The world first fell in love with Amanda Bynes as the quick-witted, larger-than-life teen who lit up screens in All That and The Amanda Show. She was funny, fearless, and fast becoming a household name.

In the 2000s, Bynes, now 39, wasn’t just acting – she was owning the Hollywood scene. With a filmography that included hits like She’s the Man and Hairspray, she was on top of her game.

‘Wake and bake’

But behind the scenes, Amanda was spiraling into a personal battle, including a very public struggle with mental health and substance abuse, prompting her to retire from acting.

“I got really into my drug usage and it became a really dark, sad world for me,” she said in an interview, describing her daily life after quitting acting as a “wake and bake” where she was “stoned all day long.”

After several headline-making incidents, Bynes’ parents, Lynn and Rick Bynes, stepped in. In 2013, the star of Sydney White was placed under a conservatorship following a psychiatric hold after setting a small fire in a stranger’s driveway.

The conservatorship lasted several years, helping her regain stability. In 2017, the conservatorship over her estate was lifted, and in 2022, the court agreed that the award-winning actor could regain full control of her life.

The former actress shared through her attorney: “In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter,” Bynes said in a statement delivered by her attorney David Esquibias, on March 22, 2022.

Psychotic episode

In March 2023, the former actor made headlines again – this time after a disturbing public episode. The actor was spotted walking naked through Los Angeles and later called 911 on herself, admitting to a psychotic episode. Authorities placed her under a 72-hour psychiatric hold, also known as a 5150 hold.

Since then, Bynes has slowly reintroduced herself to the world on her own terms. With the occasional Instagram Story or post, she’s shown glimpses into her life, her healing, and her goals.

OnlyFans

On April 15, Bynes made a move that surprised and intrigued her fanbase when she announced that she officially joined OnlyFans to connect with followers on a different level.

But before assumptions could fly, she quickly clarified that fans should not expect “any sleazy content” from her on the streaming platform that’s built its reputation on delivering sexually explicit content to its paying members.

“I’m doing onlyfans to chat with my fans through dm’s. I won’t be posting any sleazy content. Excited to join,” she said on Instagram.

Speaking with DailyMail.com, an unnamed friend emphasized that the star of What a Girl Wants will not offer any “naughty” material on OnlyFans, where the former child star’s subscription rate is set to $50 each month.

“Amanda was looking into making money and is convinced that OnlyFans will bring some serious cash her way. Her intentions are to do this before she seeks any reality show opportunities.”

“She understands the stigma around OnlyFans, but she is determined to make this very safe – nothing naughty…She wants to make it a spot where fans can go and treat it like a meet and greet.”

The tipster explained that Bynes is “looking to change course on how she has lived her life the last few years” and that Bynes considers the platform “as a bit of a career renaissance.”
