Anyone who saw Striptease surely remembers Demi Moore’s captivating performance and the iconic gold bikini that set the standard for ’90s film glamour.

But who could have predicted that it would make a stunning comeback over 30 years later — this time worn by her own daughter?

Worth at least $5,000

Rumer Willis, at 36, is channeling her mother’s unforgettable style from the 1996 film Striptease, wearing the iconic gold bikini that Demi Moore famously rocked in her role as Erin Grant. Nearly 30 years later, Rumer’s choice to slip into the same ensemble has stirred up nostalgia and a wave of reactions from fans.

The reason the iconic gold bikini has resurfaced is that Rumer Willis is currently auctioning off various items from her personal collection, with a portion of the proceeds going to a dog rescue in Idaho, as shared in videos on her Instagram.

One of the standout items she’s offering is the famous gold bikini from Striptease, which will be up for grabs at Studio Auctions on April 5th, starting at a bid of $5,000.

For those who may not know, Rumer Willis grew up in Hailey, Idaho, far removed from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Life in Idaho meant a focus on outdoor activities and plenty of hard work, offering a stark contrast to the world of fame her family was part of.

But when Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s eldest daughter posed in that gold bikini, she revealed a hint of the Hollywood glamour her parents were definitely a part of.

The moment was especially poignant since Rumer is now the same age Demi was when she wore the iconic bathing suit. Back then, Rumer appeared in the film alongside her mom, but today she’s embracing their shared legacy in a bold tribute.

Demi Moore was paid a record-breaking $12.5 million for her role in Striptease, making it the highest fee ever for an actress at the time. Interestingly, the little girl who plays her daughter in the movie is none other than her real-life daughter, Rumer Willis. While the film itself was widely criticized, Moore has been candid about the challenges she faced after starring in Striptease.

Looking back, Moore opened up about the intense backlash she received for playing Erin Grant, a single mother and former FBI secretary turned stripper in a desperate bid to afford her custody battle. “The narrative quickly became ‘Well, she’s only getting paid that number because she’s playing a stripper.’ It hit me really hard,” Moore admitted. “But at the same time, I understood that anybody who steps out first is going to take the hit. That goes for anybody challenging the status quo.”

Fans didn’t hold back

Upon seeing Rumer in that bikini, some fans didn’t hold back in their comments, comparing the two side-by-side.

One user wrote, “The daughter does look better in the bathing suit, but she’s not as pretty as her mom.” Others echoed sentiments about how Rumer resembles her father’s looks, with one stating, ”She has her dad’s face, he is very handsome, but nothing compares to her mom.”

Still, some praised Rumer’s natural beauty, with a comment reading, “Rumer has a natural body. Demi had implants. So I think Rumer wore it better ❤️.”

While opinions were divided, the love for Rumer’s bold move was clear. One fan simply said, ”Love it! 🔥,” and another appreciated the tribute, stating it was a great way for Rumer to honor Demi’s iconic role.

This moment comes amidst ongoing family celebrations. Rumer and her siblings have been vocal in their support of their mother, especially following Demi’s Golden Globe win in January 2025. Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout were all there to cheer Demi on and even shared heartfelt tributes on social media.

“Clear eyes, full hearts, CANT LOSE @demimoore!!” Tallulah wrote in an Instagram post alongside pictures from the after-party, where Demi shone in a stunning red dress.

Shared a fan-girl moment

The trio of daughters continued to express their pride and excitement, showing off their mom’s Golden Globe with a mix of playful photos and loving captions.

Rumer also shared a fan-girl moment, posting a picture with Moana star Auliʻi Cravalho. But it wasn’t just about the awards — Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout were all visibly proud of their mom, celebrating her achievement while also making a statement about family unity and love.

Despite some negative comments, including speculation about an alleged “snub” at the Golden Globes, where Demi was accused of ignoring Kylie Jenner.

One angry netizen wrote:“Demi Moore ignoring Kylie Jenner on purpose is simply mannerless [sic]. You’re in a public social setting. Direct cut, skipping someone on purpose to prove your disdain proves much more of Demi than of Kylie. Classless and crass. You’re in a gown and behave like a clown.”

But the support from Demi’s daughters has been unwavering.

Tallulah addressed the rumors, clarifying that there was no ill intent behind Demi’s interactions that night. “There was not snub of any sort,” Tallulah wrote, dispelling the controversy.

Demi’s Golden Globe win marked a significant milestone in her career, earning her the recognition she’d long deserved. It also highlighted her strong, supportive family, with Rumer and her sisters proudly celebrating their mom’s achievement as she entered a new chapter in her illustrious career.

However, Moore, who earned a Golden Globe, a Critics Choice Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award this season for her portrayal of Elisabeth Sparkle in The Substance, did not win an Oscar. She was reportedly very upset about missing out on the Oscar, despite her other successes during the awards season.

With all the chatter about their family, one thing’s clear: Demi Moore and her daughters are a force to be reckoned with, and their bond only grows stronger with each passing year.
