Michelle Obama fans shocked after finding out her real age
17 January marks a very special day for former First Lady Michelle Obamaโher birthday!
While she might not be overly enthusiastic about the upcoming inauguration of Donald Trump this weekend, she can take solace in the fact that fans are absolutely amazed by discovering her real age.
With a significant political transition happening this weekend, ahead of 78-year-old Trumpโs inauguration on Monday, much attention has turned to Michelle Obama, a former resident of the White House and beloved public figure.
On Tuesday (14 January), Michelleโs office confirmed that she would not be attending Trumpโs inaugural celebrations. Her husband, former President Barack Obama, however, is expected to attend alongside other former presidents, including George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
Just days earlier, Michelle was notably absent from the state funeral of former President Jimmy Carter, an event attended by Trump, Obama, Bush, and Clinton. According to CNN, Michelle was reportedly on โan extended holiday vacationโ in Hawaii at the time.
Itโs entirely possible that the much-admired author was simply taking some well-deserved โme timeโ before her birthday celebrations this week.
What many fans didnโt realize until today is that Michelle Obama is actually 61 years old. Thatโs rightโthe Becoming author was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1964, making her 61.

As news of her age spread, fans took to social media to express their astonishment.
โShe looks younger,โ one fan wrote enthusiastically.
Another added, โFittest First Lady ever!โ
โAging beautifully. Always protecting her peace,โ commented a third.
โ61 years?! Omg, she looks younger…โ exclaimed another.
โShe looks younger than her age,โ echoed a fifth.
The admiration for Michelle Obama contrasts sharply with recent comments made by incoming First Lady Melania Trump, who has shared grievances about her transition into the White House in 2016.
Speaking to Fox News, Melania alleged that the Obamas made her first experience at the White House a โchallengingโ one. โWe didnโt have much of the information,โ she claimed. โThe information was… withheld from us by the previous administration. But, this time, I have everything!โ

In her self-titled memoir, Melania elaborated on the issue, writing, โIt is customary for the incoming first family to start the moving process when the outgoing first family leaves for the holidays in December. Sadly, our team did not receive the access we had requested to visit the White House residence in December.โ
She further alleged that requests to the Obama team went unanswered for weeks, delaying the transition process. โWhen we finally received the information, it was filled with errors. This delayed the planning process, and I was only able to begin renovations… once we were already in the White House. Those three weeks would have been crucial for… starting preparations.โ
As Michelle Obama celebrates her birthday, one can only wonder how she might respond to any birthday wishes from the Trump family now.
