Rod Stewart became a grandfather twice this year – now another surprising update about growing family
Rod Stewart is perhaps one of the most prolific singers of his generation. Now, the 78-year-old is a dedicated family man, not just taking care of his children but also his grandchildren.
His growing brood is soon going to be adding another member to it. Keep reading to find out more about this!
Having eight kids of his own, the “Maggie May” singer is quite comfortable being around children. And in the recent past, the singer has earned his grandpa status as well.
On May 9 this year, his daughter Ruby, the fourth of his children, announced the birth of her baby boy, whom she shares with fiancé Jake Kalic.
And just days after he first became a grandfather, he became one again when his son Liam announced the birth of his boy Louie, born May 12, to Liam Stewart, 28, and his partner Nicole Ann.
Sharing a gallery of pictures on his Instagram, the new father wrote, “Welcome lad, you American, British, Croatian, Kiwi.”
Liam is Rod’s son from his marriage to Rachel Hunter from 1990 to 2006. The grandmother, Hunter commented, “Welcome you beautiful angel.” And Rod’s current wife, Penny Lancaster, added to the comments as well, writing, “Congratulations, that’s the look of love. Can’t wait for a hug.”
Now it seems, the Rod Stewart clan is adding another member to their midst. Rod’s son Liam, and his love, Nicole Artukovich, who are parents to little Louie, have revealed they are engaged to be married!
The couple announced the news by uploading the same picture to their respective Instagram accounts with the same caption which simply read “Forever,” accompanied with the emoji for a diamond ring.
In the picture the pair look at each other lovingly as the newly-engaged Nicole flashes her ring by placing it on her fiance’s chest.
The news was of course happily accepted and celebrated by the entire family. Penny Lancaster commented, “So magical, congratulations” accompanied with a heart emoji.
“It’s about time! Love you two! Congrats!,” Liam’s sister, Rudy, cheekily commented.
“1 vibes,” Liam’s brother, Alastair, added to the comment section.
