Users surprised by Jennifer Lopez’s “homeless” look on day she split from Ben Affleck

And so the curtain comes down on one of the most high-profile (if short lived) celebrity marriages of recent times.

Earlier this week Jennifer Lopez officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck at the Los Angeles Supreme Court, bringing to a close months of speculation regarding the stability of the A-listers’ union.

That Affleck and Lopez were experiencing marital woes appeared to be a fact known by all and sundry. For the majority of 2024 celebrity tabloids have filled space by screaming to anyone who will listen about the impending demise of the coupling affectionally known as ‘Bennifer’.

And, for once, the gossip sites were bang on the money, with JLo having finally made a move this week to divorce Ben two years to the day that the pair married in Las Vegas.

Among the details reportedly found in the court documents was the actual date of separation Lopez noted, with the This Is Me… Now singer having listed the date as April 26, 2024.

No sooner had that detail come to light than did the public set about looking into what both JLo and Affleck were up to around that time. Lopez, it seems, actually drew attention with her outfit on the day she and Affleck split.

In fact, some online users were critical of JLo’s look, claiming the 55-year-old looked disheveled.

“Wow, divorce is harsh. Judging by her outfit the poor woman is homeless,” wrote one online user. 

“She looks as though she went down the block and stole a homeless person’s clothes,” another said.

“So, are we calling her outfit homeless chic?” another asked.

“Is she doing a movie a homeless bag lady?” said a fourth.

As per reports, Lopez was snapped by the paparazzi in New York City leaving an apartment building on the day she split from Affleck (April 26).

Other sources have claimed that the big break up likely went down over the phone, as Affleck was in Los Angeles at the time of the split.

Readers will likely remember that this marks the second time JLo and Affleck have decided to call quits on a romance. Almost 20 years ago their first engagement ended in heartbreak when they called off their planned wedding.
